First Home Buyer Program
The First Home Buyer Program gives eligible buyers exclusive priority access to a range of homes and land allotments, helping more South Australians take their first step towards building and owning their own home.
This program is supported by the Australian Government under the Homes for Australia plan.
How it works
The program is designed to make it easier for first home buyers to secure homes and land without competing with investors and other buyer groups during the priority access period.
First Home Buyer opportunities
The First Home Buyer Program includes a range of sale opportunities across South Australia, available through HomeSeeker SA. Interested buyers are encouraged to subscribe at HomeSeeker SA.
At Playford Alive, a dedicated First Home Buyer precinct, 100% of blocks are set aside exclusively for eligible purchasers for at least 90 days.
These blocks include a range of sizes suitable for singles, couples and families, giving first home buyers a greater opportunity to secure land in a high-demand, well-established community with access to local services, parks, schools, shops, transport and community facilities.
Am I eligible?
The First Home Buyer land allotments are for eligible buyers who are ready to buy land and build their first home.
You may be eligible if you:
- have never owned residential property in Australia
- are over 18 years of age
- are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- intend to live in the home as an owner-occupier
- meet any additional eligibility criteria that apply to specific allotments.
Some allotments may be released through the Affordable Home Program and have additional eligibility requirements.
Available allotments
First Home Buyer Program allotments at Playford Alive are available in a range of sizes and locations within the Eastern Parcel.
- Land sizes range from 205 square metres to about 557 square metres.
- Allotments will be priced from $250,000*.
