What is HomeSeeker SA?

HomeSeeker SA is the South Australian Government’s sales platform showcasing affordable homes for sale and helpful information on the house buying process.

Helping South Australians buy an affordable home

We connect eligible South Australian buyers to affordable homes in metropolitan Adelaide and around the state that are ready to purchase.

Buying an affordable home through HomeSeeker SA means you won’t have to compete with property investors to buy your new home.

Our affordable homes are specifically priced to help eligible South Australian low-to-moderate income people and families achieve their dream of home ownership.

The HomeSeeker SA website has all the information you’ll need to navigate the home buying process and to help you buy your affordable home. You can even register your interest in buying an affordable home to receive a regular e-newsletter with featured property listings.

An SA Government Initiative

HomeSeeker SA is a South Australian Government initiative managed by the Department for Housing and Urban Development aimed at reducing housing stress by helping eligible home buyers to buy an affordable home.

The Housing Roadmap

The Housing Roadmap has been introduced by the South Australian Government to respond to the housing crisis currently affecting the state and includes measures to get more people in affordable housing and public homes. The Housing Roadmap features South Australia’s largest ever land release, the abolition of stamp duty on new homes, expanded workforce training, faster housing construction, an increase in public housing, and enhanced right for renters.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the state’s first peoples, nations, and Traditional Owners of South Australian land and waters. We recognise that their unique cultural heritage, customs, spiritual beliefs, and relationship with the land are of ongoing importance today, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present, and the emerging leaders of the future.
