<span class=Our Aims " />

The Government of South Australia is taking meaningful and practical action to help more people into secure and affordable housing.

HomeSeeker SA will help to put control back into the hands of South Australians by providing the opportunities and knowledge needed to move towards a more secure housing future.

Reducing Housing Stress

Many of us have either experienced housing stress ourselves or know family members or friends who are struggling with the reality of finding a safe, secure and long-term home for themselves and their loved ones.

It is estimated that there are close to approximately 46,000 South Australian households in rental stress, spending more than 30 per cent of their income on housing.

Increasing new home construction

HomeSeeker SA will support the increased construction of new affordable homes across the state, linking them to eligible low- to moderate-income buyers. We will work together in a range of ways, including building more homes in government projects, the sale of surplus government land for affordable housing and encouraging economic growth through innovation and investment.

New housing pathways

HomeSeeker SA provides new pathways to help more South Australians, whatever their situation, to identify and reach their housing goals.

Whether you are looking to find your first rental or buy a home, HomeSeeker SA will link you to the information, incentives and housing options you need to make your dream a reality.

We know there are South Australians who can afford to buy a home or access private rental with the right information and support. HomeSeeker SA provides the information and the tools to make sure that everyone is aware of the housing choices open to them.
